Since the completion of his Master’s Degree in Architecture at The University of Seville (Spain) in 2010, Miguel Angel has worked with architectural practices that gave him the opportunity to participate in a wide-range of projects both in scale and sectors. Not only small detached dwellings or alterations and additions in challenging sites but also luxurious homes, large public buildings, hotels and mixed use developments around the globe.

His initial post graduate experience began in Spain as an architectural assistant for Estudio Manzano, specialising in hispano-arab architecture and heritage conservation, an internationally acclaimed firm awarded the 2010 Richard H. Driehaus Prize for Classical Architecture (equal to Pritzker Prize). His interest and sensibility in the restoration and preservation of historical buildings grew stronger, led him to complete his Masters in Diagnosis and Repair of Buildings with academic merit in 2013.

His architectural skills are complemented with site supervision and international work experience gained in places such as Syracuse (Italy), New Delhi (India) and Papua New Guinea.

Miguel Angel, which is a NSW Registered Architect, has worked for Dickson Rothschild and Harry Stephens among other well-known architects in Australia where he enlarged his knowledge of the complex architectural design processes and satisfy successfully the strict planning requirements. All this experience allowed him to manage his own projects.

In 2019, Miguel Angel decided to pursue his dream of establishing his very own practice and creative studio: MAPCOBO.
